I originally posted this on Historic Forum but thought it might whet a few appetites on here too.
A mates been converting some of his and his brother’s old cine to DVD.
I posted the clip of the Carvairs at Coventry a while back.. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ydCUDnVgYGg just in case you missed it.
Also now there’s this one at Heathrow 1969 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eB7PfbhedNs :D:D
and another of the Princess flying boats at Calshot 1965 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Ecvk-wL96Ps
Hope you enjoy.
Cheers
Kev.

I always liked Bullitt and the scenes at SFO. Plenty of Pan Am 707’s and a PSA 727’s moving around the ramp even some shots inside the Pan Am 707 cabin. Awesome movie if you haven’t seen it.

The first clip has the 707 enterior and the second clip has the footage on the ramp/taxiways.
That was a great movie

Yes, those Quantas 707’s do stir the nostalgia don’t they?
BTW, great to see you back Steve. 🙂
Garryap17, my mate who these cine films were taken by, is of Glaswegian lineage, so he used to often travel up and down between Coventry and Glasgow.I think there maybe some more hidden treasure in that reel cupboard, as he was always rather enthusiastic with the camera.
Cheers.
Kev.
P.S. Can anyone confirm the livery of the first aircraft on the Heathrow clip in my first post??..Thanks.

Great stuff Kev, especially the LHR footage. Nice to see the BOAC VC-10 touching down.
