I would say the Fire Extinguisher will be methyl bromide as the bottle colour denotes that. As said about the squibs above, there should be an indicator pin protruding to show its been fired

Units from Brooklands

The item on the left is a Smiths Gyro Unit for the SEP 2 autopilot. It is probably part number 212EAP. This was fitted to Britannia, Viscount, HS748, some Friendships, amongst others. There was also a version fitted to military aircraft, I believe fitted to some V bombers.

I’m assuming the Squibs have been removed from the extinguisher, if they haven’t or you’re not sure then get the extinguisher away to somewhere safe. Those things can put a hole in your hand and are surprisingly easy to set off.

The grey round thing with plastic dome is a Smiths SEP2 autopilot Gyro Unit. Similar to the Mk 10 version but grey (not black) and smaller.

Yes the bottle is from a fire suppression system and probably contained(may still do so ) halon(aka BCF).If it is still full the gas should be disposed of in a safe manner as it is nowadays considered a nasty.

Maybe best unloading the box and photographing the items individually

The black canister in the centre could be an air receiver for something as there is a water drain at the bottom centre.

Top left of the box looking like the head of Robbie the Robot is a Mk10 Autopilot gyro package.

The chocolate col bottle is the medium container for a fire extinguisher system. (prob remote mounted in an engine bay)
