How useful would the more recent BAe Hawks be for modification to a Close Air Support role?

Say a gunpod and some bomb racks? No doubt with some armour to protect the pilot?

We all know that certain counties use the Hawks as “Mud Movers”, so it must be possible. Failing that – find some more Jags.
