Following the closure of the museum mid last year, anyone know whats happening to the contents?
From aeroflight they were
G-BPVE Bleriot XI (repro)
‘422/15’ Fokker E.III (repro) [G-AVJO]
G-BAAF Manning-Flanders MF.1 (repro)
‘MS824’ Morane-Saulnier Type ‘N’ (repro) [G-AWBU]
‘B2458’ Sopwith Camel (repro) [G-BPOB]
‘B5539’ Stampe SV-4 (repro)
– Waxflatter Ornithopter [BAPC.238]
IIRC, the Ornithopter was from The Young Sherlock Holmes, the E.111 from Wings, and the SV-4 was modified for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade – I thought they had a Pilatus fuselage from the same movie too.
I assume the Bleriot, E.111, MF.1, MS Type N and Camel were airworthy at one point.

Could it be possible that the two airworthy Stampe’s were also the two used in ‘Biggles adventures in time’, converted with an observers position with Scarff ring and Lewis gun in the rear?

Not knowing how many replica Fokker Eindeckers there are in the UK, there’s could have been one of the German aircraft in ‘Aces High’? Makes sense, especially as they’re based at Booker which is where the RFC aerodrome in Aces High was situated
That was the Fokker Eindekker used in the film, certainly, and one of the Stampes. I think the replica SV4 is the mock-up used for filming some of the cockpit sequences for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
I think the Pilatus fuselage (mock-up) is still at Booker.

MF1 certainly was – features at the end of the 1996 Wind in the Willows film, which starred the Monty Python cast. Not that I own it on DVD or anything….

Also, according to G-INFO, the owners, Bianchi Aviation Film Services, there’s two Stampe SV4’s owned by them, G-AWXZ and G-BYDK. Also a hot air balloon, too
