Hi all,
Apologies if this has alread been mentioned in a previous thread. I did a very quick search on here and nothing came up but as said, apologies if I missed it.
Saw a poster at the cinema the other day advertising a film called Closing the Ring. The Spitfire on the poster caught my attention. Further investigation – thanks Google – led me to here:

I don’t wish to start a “it-won’t-be-historically-accurate-debate” or bemoan the fact there’s not much ‘plane action’ in it. It was filmed as a love film, the fact it has the aircraft it does in it, in my eyes, is a bonus. I think it looks alright – the missus is up for seeing it at the weekend too!
Enjoy it if you see it.
Rich.

Ah that old one!
It’s a Dickie Attenborough film if I remember rightly about a B-17 that crashed into Balfasts Cave Hill, NI, where all the crew died.
A memorial is now standing there near the Zoo I believe and was dedicated in June 2006 with full honours and a Sally B flypast!

Think I saw a Harvard in there, too.
