They handled my late Father’s funeral very well indeed.

Does this count as free advertising, I wonder? 😎

Did they charge you waiting time ’cause he was late???

I’ve instructed my family to throw me in the compost bin in the yard!!!

When enquiring of the Co-Op today as to whether they were handling the funeral of a friend of my Uncle’s, I was told quite unequivocally that they buried him last week. Which should make interesting reading on the Death Certificate as he only died on Sunday.

In my personal experience, Co-Op staff have been excellent in the actual management of the Funeral itself. it is other aspects of their customer service which leave a lot to be desired.

Rather coincidentally they are constantly running an advert for them on our Anglian regional TV area, never seen an advert for funeral directors on TV before.
I hate adverts at the best of times, the increasing number of them drives me round the bend, but this one is just so depressing.
Could it have something to do with the increased number of suicides during the current recession, or, while attempting to slash your wrists during a commercial break in ‘Red Riding’, make sure you ring the Co-op before you start and get a quote.

The co op took over the local funeral directors after his retirement a while ago.
A directors the family have used for years, and i have noticed no change in the level of service.
