COA to start 2nd daily service from MAN

News is appearing on the MAN newsgroups concerning COA’s long-awaited 2nd daily service.

COA100/101 (arr 0955 dep 1330) starts on 10th June, using B757 equipment.

Good news for MAN and the North-west but, as always, believe it when you see it! 😉

The B762 is already on the routes for the summer, up until June when the increased schedule starts. You can keep your hopes up, but I wouldn’t hold your breath, if it was going to be a B762 all summer then why wouldn’t they have stated that when they put a B762 on the route as far as June.

They have done it for 3years straight thats why.

Is the “phantom” QANTAS LHR-MAN service using Flightline 146s a similar phenomenon?

LOL, This has always confused me too! There were no Qantas applications for the last lot of slots to my knowledge. However OAG still show one frequency a week! I do not know the answer to this, but I do know somebody that will, and so I’ll try and track the answer down when I go back to work on Monday……

Sorry to change the subject, but I’ve bought the latest Flight check, and it says Cathay have started A340 passenger services?

CX applied for slots again, however they are not launching the service (for now anyway). Many airlines apply for slots in this way, but sometimes it can take years before they actually choose to apply forslots and actually use them.

No need to patronise me here RIP

Why the mention of EDI vs GLA then, from anyone? Given EDI hasn’t been mentioned once in this thread. If anything it should be MAN vs GLA given that MAN appears to have taken GLA’s B762.
But of course, we don’t want either, we want peace and harmony for all….. 😉

And to think this thread once again has turned from a MAN thread to a possibility of a GLA v EDI thread. How many of these have we seen latley!!

What’s EDI got to do with anything here? I think you’re getting a bit neurotic.

CX have not confirmed anything, although one can presume that sooner or later they will come back (but they must offer an equivalent service as they do ex-LHR i.e. non-stop rather than one-stop if it’s going to get business pax on board!, and make the days of operation Mon + Thurs, or perhaps even 3 weekly.)

I thought it was abit out of the blue!
