I have recently been loaned a very extensive collection of documents, medals, flying logs, etc., which once belonged to a sadly now deceased Coastal Command navigator. He served briefly on Hudsons with 53 Squadron at St.Eval, before moving on to Wellingtons with 172 Squadron at Chivenor and Wick, then 179 Squadron in Gibraltar.
Can anyone help me track down appropriate photographs please? The photo album that came with everything else contains lots from his training in Canda, but nothing at all thereafter.
Many thanks in advance.

Bomberboy,
Many thanks for the reply. I am aware of the Air Britain book, but certainly if there is any help you can offer to fill in the gaps via the St.Eval association, that would be very much appreciated. I will send you a private message with more details.

My father served in 53 sqdn then equipped with Liberators whilst at St Eval and I am in the RAF St Eval Coastal Command Association 1939 – 1959 where I may be able to help.
However and probably of better help would be the 53 sqdn Air Brittain publication written by Jock Manson which may be able to help.
I know it has a section covering when 53 had Hudsons.
