Cockpit availability in the UK these days

G’day folks,

As a preliminary exercise, I thought I’d ask about the availability of interesting cockpits which could fit in a container for shipment to Australia. I’m tossing up a few options and am interested in seeing what’s out there and available.

I’m open to any advice, and if you’d rather keep private, please feel free to PM me.

Cheers,
Matt

Wasn’t there a plan to make WV838 a complete aircraft again using wings and tail from another aircraft?

There was but that predates my ownership of WV838.

As XV806 says the parts went elsewhere and have recently changed hands again.

That is correct, but for reasons that the forumites in question are better off explaining, the Seahawk parts just moved on again and were listed on eBay…

Sea Hawks fit nicely into shipping containers, as that is how I have stored WV838 in the past in a 20 footer.

It also happens that I am looking to sell the Sea Hawk at the moment 🙂

Buccaneer is re-available as winner cant fit a 2.7M high cockpit in his 2.1M garage

Also for sale is Hunter XF321, and Pete MacQuarters is having another T.7 shipped south and has space in container for another cockpit. Might be worth getting it touch ?

Morning to you fella . . seems to have been a few passing through good old ebay over the last weeks, and suprisingly, only one seems to have seems to have sold. So guess there are a good few out there at the moment. If you’re quick, there is a Nimrod up for grabs 🙂
