Ok guys, I was reading Carlo Kopps latest article and yet again he is spouting off some crazy stuff.
In his claims this time he is sating that the SU-35-1 is going to be the most advanced Russian aircraft of modern times. While I do not dispute this claim, he goes on to claim that it is the only aircraft apart from the F-22 in production that has an all glass cockpit eliminating traditional dial instruments.
I have been looking around and have found 2 other cockpits that have dispenced with these dials as well:
Lockheed Martins F-16E Block 60 in service with the UAEAF and
SAAB JAS-39C in service with a number of countries now.
I was thinking that the Mitsubishi F-2 had the same set up, but apparently not, I do remember there being talk of it having an all LCD cockpit but I can’t find any reference to that fact now.
So are there other planes out there now that have an all glass cockpit? I know the Lightning II is going to have one but that is not in production yet, can you guys help- do you know of any others?
