Cockpit Lamp MKII, which aircraft

Hi I have been given two lamps they are marked A M REF No 5C/366 COCKPIT MK II LAMP.

Can anyone tell me which aircraft they were fitted in. One is still in a sealed box, are they scarce at all?

Regards.

I dug up a cockpit lamp just like that from a wellington crash site a couple of weeks ago along with an airspeed indicator.

one more aircraft it fits into.

These lamps are Air Ministry issue and can be found in almost any multi-engined aircraft used by the RAF such as Lancaster, Halifax, Stirling you name it.

There are also brass and bakelite versions but AL682 can tell you more about that 😉

I’m not sure how rare they are in your part of the world Jon but I’m need of one for the Boulton Paul Type C turret I’m rebuilding for Hudson NZ2035.

If you’re inclined to pass one on pleae PM me

cheers
