I bought this negative of a cockpit quite a few years back, however have never been sure what kind of aircraft it is from.
The control column made me think Stirling or Sunderland, however I was wondering if any members might be able to tell me what it is.

I hadn’t thought Wellington as I didn’t think they had side by side controls in the cockpit (I thought they had a single control column/pilots position)
Irrelevant now, but from a certain Mk on Wellingtons did have dual controls.
Glad I didn’t look stupid over my twin engined suggestion!

Reckon Air Min’s got it – Hudson or Ventura. You can actually see the nose glazing on the lower right.
Looks like a ‘developed’ Hudson with dual controls and (obviously) glazed nose – Ventura?
Here’s a US solid nose job – different version, but note the centre section similarities…

I’m not sure either Johnnie.. Whitley or Wellington were just a wild stab in the dark.

Thanks for the replies so far on this.

It’s American and Lockheed in feel.
Did any Hudsons have dual controls?

Whitley or Wellington perhaps.??

Possibly going to look really stupid now, my defence is I can’t open the picture up, but it looks either twin or maybe tri engined?!
I can only make out pairs of levers and what I thought were four RPM guages look like two pairs.

Not Stirling methinks

Not Sunderland – much more ‘cockpit’ than ‘bridge’.
This is the prototype Sunderland – it got a lot more cluttered, but the relationship between panel, wheels and canopy never changed.
