Fair enough
Not sure that cockpits are my thing, but if you’ve never tried it you musn’t knock it.
Rumour has it that the Colt will be back from the fettlers with a temporary prop (Don’t like the sound of this) towards the back-end of next week.
So with all the ‘ifs’
If I can get a pass out from the fearsome Mrs Moggy
And if the kite is back
And if I can get permission to use the strip
And if I am confident of the a/c
I’ll be there.
Possibly

Suffolk is a darn site easier a starting point than mine….all you have to do is go along the A14 and then poodle off a little.
Moggy, it is the event sponsored by Flypast and covered extensively in the magazine. It is a good larf and fun to boot, and don’t worry my Pucara won’t be there!!:)

I think it’s ok with prior permission from the gliding club on site.

Newark Air Museum. 14th & 15th June.
Suffolk’s not an ideal place to start from. If I was you I’d start from somewhere else. 🙂

Added this bit.
It’s on the edge of what used to be RAF Winthorpe. Part of the old runway remains. Length’s OK but it’s narrower than it was. Gliding club’s grass strip runs alongside. An2 flew in there recently for display at the museum and the Vulcan landed there 20 years ago when it was wider. Don’t know if real aeroplanes are routinely allowed to use it.

There are some of us who don’t have a clue where or when.
Perhaps you could enlighten us?

Not actively planning to go, but I should be at the Kit Car show next door on the showground.
If I know there’s going to be a bunch of gentlemen, ladies, reprobates (delete as necessary) present, I can come out early, or go in late come to think of it.
Going to Coventry on Saturday. Ticket price has just frightened the life out of me.

Tony,
Yes, I’ll probably be there. You taking the Pucara again this year?
