Cockpitfest Thanks – Better Late Than Never

Hi All,

Unfortunately I had to travel to France for work early on the Monday after the ‘Fest’ so I missed my chance to post something straight away.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Newark Air Museum team (Bill in particular) for organising another great weekend. I think also (it will seem a bit sucky but…) we should also thank Ken Ellis, Dave Burke and their team for supporting this very ‘Grass roots’ event.

As a group we look forward to this event every year, it is my major focus and I am already trying to think of what to do. Because 2011 is the last year of the Tornado F.3 I may take my F.2 nose section as I hope to also have it at Leuchars for the final bow out!?

Great job all, thanks to everyone who came down and look forward to the next one!!

Simon

Thanks for the kind words – I’ll make sure everyone is aware of this thread! 🙂

I trust that you didn’t have any problems collecting the engine at the weekend!

We’re trying to get WOS to firm up the date for 2011 – but at present he’s suffering from P.T.C-F.D; he normally rallies after Waddington!! 😉
