There are now eight cockpits booked in for CockpitsWest at Halfpenny Green on 16th September, ranging from the Boulton Paul Overstrand to the German Phantom. A number of interesting aircraft have alreadyalso booked in, weather permitting, for the associated Fly-in, including an SE.5A replica, a Hatz Biplane and a Jackeroo. As cockpiteers will be sited in front of the control tower, they will have a good view of all arrivals. Anyone wishing to book their cockpit/display. and/ or a free aerojumble stall, please pm me.

We have secured the use of a hangar or the aerojumble, though cockpiteers/ aerojumblers will have the choice on the day whether they go in there, or outside in front of the control tower, where they will get a better view of the flying. There will also be a display of aircraft in the hangar, with a Boulton Paul ‘Museum for the day’. If anyone requires a table for their use in the hangar, they will have to book it in advance, as we won’t have any on site

Details of the event, including a new picture of the Overstrand cockpit, which will attend, can be found on www.wolverhamptonairport.co.uk where you will also find the requisite information should you be flying in your cockpit, there being half price landing fees on the day.
