Cody V "1912 Military Aeroplane Trials winner" axle etc remains

Some months ago I acquired the remains of the main axle & wheels of the 1912 Military Aeroplane Trials winning Cody V.
I had hoped that I may be able to find a suitable museum that would be interested in obtaining it through an exchange, unfortunately this has not happend. I am therefore now offering the remains to the general public “for exchange”, in the hope that the parts will find a safe & secure home with some one who will look after them.

I’m looking to exchange the axle etc, for WW1 to 1930’s aircraft parts, instruments, engine items, WW1 aero-engine magneto’s/carbs etc, or manufacturing drawings for same.

I have found that with many museums. They want the item, but never wish to swop.

I contacted the main museums, & a few which I thought might be interested, there was lots of interest in the axle etc, but the museums wanted it as a donation, & were not interested in an exchange.

Yes I contacted them, they were interested, but then heard no more from them.
