Col Robert K Morgan 91st Nose Art Jacket!

Here are some photographs that I took of the late Col Robert K Morgan, pilot of the Memphis Belle. I took these shots around 1991 at the state meeting of the Georgia Eighth AF Historical Society. Morgan was given a new A-2 with his famed Memphis Belle on the back, I saw him many times after this wearing this jacket proudly and rightly so ! A very fine man who always took time to talk to anyone about his days with the 91st, very modest and always remarking how lucky his crew was to survive their tour at Bassinbourn. He was a great spokesman for all the Eighth veterans. The man he is seen talking to in the photograph is a Eighth veteran himself and was and worked for years with the US Secret Service after the war.
