Collectors – wish list item?

Just been thinking, whilst Amazon do a wish list, I wonder if we could do the same..?

You are allowed two items which must be ‘obtainable’ and realistic – ie no I want my own P-61, or one of Boeckle’s Spandaus, Gibsons VC etc…i mean things that are ‘out there’… and one silly one… this is a ‘wish’ list- ie we all have instruments we need etc to finish a panel and so on – but these are ‘special’ items, one offs if you like…

Eg i always fancied a WW1 aircraft rudder to hang on the wall and a pair of Avro 504 rudder pedals (lovely cast ‘Avro’ make fab book ends), my silly one is an Enigma machine…

d’you see worra mean…

Over to you

Just for fun…not for a project…

A B-17 nose piece..
A F-102 radar cone…
Anything from a C-124….

It’s a good thing I didn’t move to Tucson or I’d have something in my back yard…I know a guy with a bunch of H-34s (a piston powered Wessex) for sale…or a F-104 (but Anne, it’s small!).

All I want is……more time!
Time to spend with the family,
Time to go to all the shows I never seem to get to,
Time to help out at the Classic Flight,
Time to read all the books I want to read,
Time to help other people with their projects, blenhiem ,Brunty Lightnings, TT with the Texan and Beech.
Its no good I will just have to win the Lottery!
Alan.
Ps Notice I didn’t mention work, what a waste of a persons time!

Not the only one, ideally i’d love to help out at Bruntingthorpe and with the Blenheim but not having a car makes it pretty difficult at the moment!

A Control Column., either from a Mosquito or a Lancaster.

A propellor blade..any blade from a World War Two aircraft, British, German or American.

A piece of B-26 Marauder from a 391st BG aircraft. This to mount and give to a friend in the USA who is a Historian with the 391st.

So many things from aircraft I would love to own and display at home, far too numerous to list 🙂

Great idea this thread. I think it shoud be made sticky so people can add whants to it and people whho may be able to help with the items can find the person easily.
Once i come back from America i may add somethings. My money goes towards that trip at the moment but afterwoods who knows.

My wish list consists of set of C-47 / Dakota pilot & co-pilot seats (the unusual looking inward slanting type). I’m sure that there are dozens of the things languishing in derelict airframes throughout the world, I just can’t get my hands on them!

Any leads greatly appreciated…….!

Sorry my misunderstanding… 🙁

– thing is if you start on a Stearman and work your way up to Janie – you’ll need MH to add a BT-13 or Cornell to the fleet to go from ‘Primary’ to ‘Advanced’ in flight school…

I thought you flew Fools Rush In Chris now and again….?

Cant persuade MH to make the new bird a TF then……?

If you can fly a T-6…..

TT

simple answer is

no

and no…

May get myself in the Stearman this year however with a great deal of good luck.

Being into Merlins, it would have to be a Rolls-Royce R engine (they do exist!)
I did stumble across this Sabre in someones hangar a few years ago, but they wouldn`t let me take it, can`t think why.

The second wish would have to be a workshop that actually impresses the CAA / PFA inspectors instead of the “shed” I work in now!

Maybe one day when I’ve got the money i’d love to buy one of the Bolingbrokes in Canada, but until then i’d be happy with any bits of Blenheim’s to keep me going till then

I’d also like a sizeable portion of an aircraft, preferably the cockpit area, to work on, ideally something from WW2 but not fussy
