Hi all,
Some photos from a recent visit to CGN, good facilities for spotting but photography is limited really to one particular angle depending on what runway is in use. Weather wasn’t great with overcast skies and some rain. There were plenty of GWI Jets but none which had any of the themed schemes painted on them so I resisited the temptation to photograph them.

Im flying out on EZY in December to CGN. Do you have any tips about the best place to view from?

There is a dedicated viewing area on top of the Terminal 2, the stair to it are by the downstairs cafe almost opposite the Lufthansa check in. Here is the link to the terminal map. Only problem with this area is that it gets quite full when the sun is shining and the windows are tinted which doesn’t help when taking shots of aircraft parked at T2. As far as outside the airport is concerned, I have no idea, sorry. Hope this helps and enjoy your time at CGN.

its one of my most favourite cities.
I went to Cologne a couple of years back and was really bored of the place after a day. I doubt I will ever return.
