Colombia has elected overwhelmingly a hardliner sending a very strong message that theyre fed up with what is no longer a struggle of ideology and social change but a drug funded fight for control of a shattered, stricken economy. Uribe pledges to build a very large army and greatly increase cooperation with the US, in an all out war against the insurgency.
