Colonic irrigation!!!

OK a bit of a personal one! My wife has had some strange desire for us to sign up for the old internal bidet for some time now and is hassling me to go for it too. I’m not too keen on the prospect but have heard that it can do great things for health including reducing the likelihood of colonic cancer. Any views? A friend who had it done a few years ago said his farts didn’t smell for 6 months afterwards!

RE: Colonic irrigation!!!

Supposedly food gets encrusted onto the walls of the colon and the decay of this matter is the primary reason for bad smelling farts. This matter also supposedly passes toxins into your system which gives rise to bad skin, body odour, etc.
There are some essential bacteria that are lost as part of the process however these are replaced immediately afterwards by taking supplements and the products advertised on TV.

I have been booked into a spa next Tuesday morning so I suppose I’d better produce a report after the event!

RE: Colonic irrigation!!!

Wys.

Personally, I wouldn’t fancy it. When I worked as a nurse I had to administer what were known as Herculean washouts for those about to undergo major bowel surgery to ensure the bowel was ‘clean’ prior to surgery. Our bowel is said to contain bacteria which are essential to our well being, you’ve seen the adverts, ‘I top up mine every morning.’ Surely these are removed by irrigation? Perhaps that’s the whole idea, you then have to pay to replace these essential bacteria? I suppose I’m old school and am a firm believer that the bowel is for pushing things out and only for putting things in under exceptional circumstances.

As for the eradication of smells, where’s the fun in that?:+

RE: Colonic irrigation!!!

Is that what Jonny Knoxville had done on Jackass once? Where they shove a pipe up your botty and pump some fluid through and clean yo out?

You’d not get me doing it!
