I have a question about airliner colour schemes that you guru’s out there may be able to answer. Going back a few years…okay probably more than a few…,the uper part of the fuselage (roof bit !) on most of the Airliners was nearly always painted white to help keep the sardines on the inside from getting too hot and suffering from radiation thro’ travelling too close to the sun !.
All these fantastic colour schemes that seem to be cropping up left right and centre nowadays, does this actually affect the temperature inside the ‘planes, or was this just an old wives tale from the beginings of passenger transportation through the air ?
Over to you
Cheers
Gary
