Combat Aircraft magazine ?

During my usual browse through the aviation-related racks of W.H. Smiths (a large UK high-street magazine outlet), I picked up the latest issue of Combat Aircraft – published by Ian Allen – to have a look through it.

I could not check out the contents – because it was sealed inside a poly wrapper and came with a ‘free CD’ of RIAT 2004.

Oh well – they lost a sale.

I then visited another, smaller, retailer – and there was the same mag, but this time with no wrapper and no CD !!!

What is that all about ?? Is the CD Exclusive to W.H Smith’s ??? Anyone ?

PS – I didn’t buy the mag anyway – the only item of interest was an article on the Indian MiG-29 and I didn’t fancy forking out 4 quid for a few pages.
