Planes In Kong Are Wrong
Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson has hired a plane spotter to help him film his latest picture – a remake of King Kong.
The film is being made in Jackson’s native New Zealand and shooting will have to contend with the flight paths of commercial jets.
King Kong is set in the early 20th century – well before commercial jet planes started criss-crossing the skies.
One mistake could cost the studio a small fortune to do a re-take.
Jackson decided it was cheaper to employ an aircraft anorak to watch out for incoming Boeing 747s and other jets.

As Billy Conolly once said… “Haw big yin, whit ur ye gauny dae fer a face whin King Kong waants his erse back ?” 😀 😉 :diablo:
I’d settle for Fay Wray…not that I remember her
personally. 😉 :dev2:

I think it’s a dual role – a love scene with Kong or
something? 😮 :diablo:

I wonder what the hourly rate is for plane spotting? I need a job, and it sounds like it might be a good line of business!
