Comet magneto problems

Does anyone know of any updates regarding the DH Comet and its magneto problem,has it been resolved ? if so has it air tested yet? and if so wil it fly at the pageant on Sunday ?

Chatting with the engineer at the Military Airday, he reckoned the snags had been fixed. The problem was getting the pilot, the airplane and the weather together to do the CAA flight tests and work up a display. Don’t know whether that’s been done yet!.

Ok maybe I had abit of brain fade..but you will not discussing
the Bruntingthorpe DH Comet were you? sorry about that!! been along day.

Still being a Jet Comet fan I always get excited about the idea seeing
one fly again!!

I had read that Bruntingthorpe is having an open day on the weekend of the Sept 14,15. The DH Comet is supposed to be displayed/taxied again, so maybe the magneto problems are ok? How long has the Comet had this problem for?
