Did anyone see the programme about the Comet crashes on Nat Geographic last night?
I thought it sounded good but we don’t have NG so I couldn’t see it.
If anyone saw it, was it good? I got the impression they were implying that metal fatigue did not cause the crashes and that something weird was going on.

I never considered it was going to be about conspiracies, but instead aimed at the novice viewer with no knowledge of what happened to those early Comets.
Interesting and informative with some great graphics and reconstructions etc. Only let down by the distinctly ‘non 50’s’ hairstyle of the BOAC Argosy captain…:D
If anyone wants a dvd copy then give me a shout, I still have it on my hard drive.

In my opinion it was a very informative and worth watching episode.
In the respect you are referring to it, it was quite weird. Throughout the program and in advertising it built up suspense like it would reveal that it wasnt metal fatigue after all, but in an anti-climax it took about 1 minute to confirm that it was indeed metal fatigue,
Unfortunately there are no conspiracy theories to consider/ridicule/tear apart 😉
