Comet Project on Facebook

Hello, I have been asked to put a post saying that the Comet project now has a Facebook page. Not being well up on computers I don’t know how to go direct to it but if you go on the Comet web site which is http://www.cometracer.co.uk there is a direct link from the front page.
This is being overseen by a new volunteer who is very keen on updating and manages to talk us into posing for photographs.
Hope you will have a look and find it interesting.
Ken

I don’t think the makers of stone tablets stored personal details for their own nefarious activities !

I do wish people wouldn’t post useful information on Faceache.

It was a bad move when they started writing on scrolls, they’d have been much better off sticking to carving on the tried-and-tested stone tablets.

hello jeepman, I spoke to Bill who is looking after the page and he says you can look at it without signing up but you need to join the group which he says is easy, to post a comment.
A direct link to it is.. https://www.facebook.com/groups/330548433801421/
If I have copied it right that is.
Bill is constantly thinking about updates and asking us for ideas so please keep looking

As a non-farcebook user – still can’t see your facebook pages – and yet can see the Luton Minor page mentioned above (and hundreds of others) with no problems.

So I don’t know

On the subject of FB pages to do with aircraft restoration, Luton Minor G-AFIR has, in the past few weeks, changed hands again and is undergoing rebuild for the new owners. Progress can be followed at the following:

Thanks – so it’s actually the link from the homepage which requires you to log in, rather than the facebook page itself

You should be able to view it OK without a Facebook account. Just google “Comet Racer Project Facebook” or similar and it should appear as one of the results

Ken you can only see it if you’e a farcebook user – which not everybody is – or wants to be. Other sites I have seen don’t require you to sign up – I wonder if the settings could be changed.
