What comics did you read when you were a kid? I grew up with the Beano, Dandy, Beezer, and Topper, but the first one I took regularly was Buster; named after the lad who was supposedly Andy & Florrie Capp’s son, though he was never mentioned anywhere else. Later I moved onto Scorcher, full of football stories like Billy’s Boots, Nipper, Lags Eleven (prison football team) and Bobby of the Blues. Can anyone remember about 5 new titles coming from the same publisher in the 60’s with names like Smash, Terrific, Fantastic…? Think they eventually merged with one another until there was only Smash left. IIRC Smash had characters called Ronnie Rich & Tony Broke, The Man from Bungle, and Grimly Fiendish. Happy, innocent days. 😀
