Hi all
I would like to share this with you and to see what you think about it?
I think it looks great and will be very useful on putting out big bush fires.

spoke to some crews re: airliners used as firefighters.
they recon they would only work somewhere flat like CA.
here in CO – hot and high airfields/large mountains – probably a no-go – even the Neptunes that have had their outboard jets taken off, sometimes have to downsize their loads, at times here.
I’ll post some pics of some lovely Neptunes on the Old Timers board in a few days, when I get home from Grand Junction, CO

Ever heard of wind fanning the flames? Imagine what a B742 could do when flying fairly low over the fires! 🙂
Bet it holds plenty of that watery stuff to put the fires out though!!

boo!
I’d rather see Neptunes, P3’s, DC4’s and Convairs thanks for asking.
Probably useful in some areas, but most firefighting aircraft are staged at smaller airfields closer to the actual fires.
