The Chequers used to be good but then it changed hands…this is not to say that it isn’t still good under it’s new owners, but something to bear in mind…
The best pub in the area for food and drink is the King William IV at Heydon…but it’s not in as convenient a location as the Red Lion at Whittlesford…
Digby…isn’t the Tickle Arms a bit poncy? Not that I’ve visited mind, just what I’ve heard…

I spoke to Steve Hinton at the glacier girl show last weekend and he said the The Checkers in Fowlmere was a good pub to take in what do you think?

Red Lion at Whittlesford is basically a Hotel selling pub food if you have the means then there are far better pubs just as near selling equally if not far better food. Lots of better pubs about a mile farther on.
About time someone finally pointed this out.

The one next to Duxford Chapel right? We had a quick look but the menu didn’t seem interesting enough. The food at the one in Hinxton was quite good, and we sat in a corner with a B-25 and a Spitfire on the wall, so I wasn’t complaining!
I’ll remember the Whittlesford one though for the next time that I’m in that neighbourhood! 😉

The Hinxton Red Lion is the one that wouldn’t let us in after Becka’s forum meet.
We decamped to the Red Lion at Whittlesford Station and have been going there ever since.

Not been here long then, there’s only one pub near by worth visiting, The Red Lion. It’s the favoured haunt for many from the forum after the DX shows.
I was wondering though, which Red Lion is that then? I was at the one at Hinxton last month and was wondering if I was treading through hallowed halls

If you are bringing a cell phone, drop one or two of the usual Duxford forumites a PM and I’m sure they’ll give you a call.

😀
The Wheatsheaf (heathen!) seems to be nicer but atmosphere goes to the Whittlesford Red Lion simply because it has Forum History in it. I cant imagine Drinking anywhere else with forumites at Duxford.
Who said owt about drinking with forumites 😀 😀 but if I’m offered a drink then I’ll slum it 😀 😀 😀

It’s not hard to spot them.
