Babeled!
CORNIGLION-MOLINIER (Edouard CORNIGLION known as) Born on January 23, 1898 in Nice (the Alpes-Maritimes) Deceased on May 9, 1963 in Paris (6th) Senator of the Seine of 1948 to 1951 Deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes of 1951 to 1958 Minister d’ State of June 28, 1953 to June 19, 1954 , Transport and public tourism Minister for Labour of February 23, 1955 to February 1, 1956 Minister of Justice, Minister for the justice of June 13 to November 6, 1957 Minister d’ State charged with the Sahara of May 14 to June 1, 1958 Born on January 23, 1898 in Nice, Edouard Corniglion-Molinier, volunteer at 16 years, is the youngest fighter pilot of the First World War. The many combat qu’ he delivers are worth d’ to him; to be city nine times and d’ to be decorated with the Military decoration, the Legion d’ honor and of many foreign decorations. Restored peace, the hero of the French wings resumes his studies, passes an arts degree and a doctorate in right (his/her father is notary). A time journalist in Paris Evening, it devotes in fact l’ essence of its time to its two passions: the cinema and l’ aviation. Pilot of raids, it furrows the world, either only, or in company d’ aviators considered like Arnoux and Mollisson. Pilot d’ test, it flies on many prototypes, and in particular on the famous plane ” Makkhonine” with returning wings. Film producer, c’ is thanks to him that Marcel Carné and Jacques Prévert could turn Drôle of drama, and Andre Malraux L’ Hope. It flies over with this last l’ Arabia to adapt southern Mail. Lorsqu’ burst the war of 1939, it is again voluntary to be useful in l’ fighter force, and adds to its prize list victories and quotations. Refusing l’ armistice of June 1940, it founds with Emmanuel d’ Astier of Vigerie the movement Release. Decree in December 1940 by the Germans, it s’ escape, gains London, s’ engage in Royal Air Force before joining the free French Air forces as of their creation. Appointed d’ chief; staff, then ordering FAFL in the Middle East (1941), it created the groups Lorraine and Alsace and takes part with them in the campaigns of Libya and Cyrénaïque. Ordering the French Air forces of Great Britain (1942), then of l’ The Atlantic (1944), it brings an air support of most effective to the combat of the release, in particular against the ” poches” allemandes of the Atlantic coast. These bright services are worth with the colonel Corniglion-Molinier d’ to be made Companion of the Release, commander of the Legion d’ honor and air brigadier general. After the German defeat, it puts its experiment at the training service of the young people: d’ access inspector of the Schools, it is indicated soon as higher commander of the Schools of l’ air and named air major general. Raised with the dignity of large officer of the Legion d’ honor, the United States and Great Britain respectively decree to him the rank of commander in the Legion off Merit and Distinguished service order. Poured in the second section, the Corniglion-Molinier general was throughout all IVe République administrator of many industrial society having for the majority a relationship with l’ aviation, the press and especially the cinema. Thus, he was president d’ Air Morocco, vice-president of the new Company of the Gaumont Establishments, co-director of Paris-Press of 1952 to 1956, but also administrator of Publicis, cinematographic Work, the cinematographic continental Company, the company d’ Childish editions, of the Moroccan Company of radio-television etc In 1947, the general adheres to the RPF and is elected one year to advise Republic of the Seine later. The members of the Third force by 15 vote against 8, prefer the Rotinat radical to him to chair the Commission of the national defense of which he is member throughout all his mandate as well as Commission of the press, radio and cinema. It intervenes on several occasions in the capacity as rapporteur of the Commission of National defense, but also like chair Commission of the press, in particular in the discussion of the bill on the publications intended for youth in 1949 and 1951. After s’ to be made elect in 1949 in the Alpes-Maritimes, general advisor of the canton of Roquebillière, the general led, in front of Marcel Dassault, the list of the RPF to the legislative elections of June 17, 1951. With 39.582 votes out of 213.874 votes cast, its list arrived in third position behind the lists Doctor and Communist, obtain two elected officials thanks to l’ political alliance qu’ she concluded with the Médecin list. Corniglion-Molinier is named Member of the Commissions of the foreign affairs and finances. For this reason, it presents several reports/ratios in the name of the Committee of supply on the relative bills with the appropriations assigned to the operating expenses of the civil services of the foreign affairs for 1952 and 1953. Its principal interventions in public relate to the cinema and l’ aviation. Thus, on November 21, 1951, the deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes fights an amendment of Jean Lecanuet who would end, according to him, with the suppression of the Cannes festival. But c’ is especially in February 1953, during the discussion of the relative bill to the development funds of l’ cinema industry, that the general expresses all his solicitude for seventh Article It deposits eight amendments including one great number relates to the production but also l’ helps with the construction of French material which would allow d’ to improve technical quality of the films which could be in relief, even odorous. It calls several times in the discussion upon foreign examples to fight certain articles of the project or amendments which would place our cinema in a less favorable situation. It reproaches again the young deputy of Seine-lower d’ to have sought to help by an amendment the small farmers of room to the detriment of the film distributors. On the whole, l’ importance of the tax imposed to the film producers to feed the development funds justifies its voluntary abstention at the time of the vote of the law by 415 votes against 90. The general worries moreover about the capacity of France to ensure his air security. On June 10, 1952, during the discussion of the relative bill to the development of the appropriations of national defense, it specifies that s’ it n’ is not more the representative of the generals that the other general-deputies who already intervened in the debate, he requests his colleagues d’ to accept nevertheless that its stars clarify the debate. Between 1945 and 1949, France n’ in series only one fighter did not build because the projects were badly conceived and too ambitious. Since, signs of technical and industrial rectification were recorded. However, taking into account our engagement in Indo-China and of our financial possibilities, l’ effort requested from the country owes s’ to accompany d’ a d’ plan; complementary assistance coming for l’ essence, of the United States. On June 18, day highly symbolic system, it informs the minister of national defense and the armed forces, Rene Pleven, old of free France, its decision to vote the military appropriations, well qu’ one should not give to its vote any political direction in favour of the Pinay government for which it s’ was abstained at the time of the vote d’ nomination on March 6, 1952, contrary to 27 deputies R.P.F who had voted for. With the fall of the government Rene Mayer on May 21, 1953, the longest cabinet crisis of IVe République starts. On June 28, 1953, lassitude, but also the governmental participation of five members of Parliament of l’ U.R.A.S. against the promise nothing to make about the C.E.D, allows l’ nomination of Joseph Laniel. The Corniglion-Molinier general becomes minister d’ State without wallet and is placed of this fact out of the R.P.F. With this occasion, it yields the presidency of the Company of the sherifs of transport, born from fusion d’ Air-atlas and d’ Air-Morocco, with his/her friend Chaban-Delmas who restores it to him when it becomes in his turn minister in the government Mendès France. On this subject, from the remainder, on November 17, 1954, Comiglion-Molinier comes to l’ helps of the Minister for Labour public, transport and tourism because the Commission of the means of communication, by the mouth d’ Achilles Auban, informs him of his unpleasant d’ impression; to have a former president of private company to the head of the ministry in charge d’ Air-France. The general points out qu’ it is more normal all the same than they are aviators who s’ occupy d’ aviation (…). ” One can be a teacher and become minister of l’ Education ” he concludes. The Corniglion-Molinier general votes l’ nomination of Pierre Mendès France on June 17, 1954, the preliminary question of the Aumeran general who rejects the CED on August 30, 1954, following what it approves l’ admission of FRG in l’ OTAN” I n’ do not accept without disorder, declares it, with the platform of the Palais Bourbon on December 27, the rearmament of l’ Germany. But I do not think, qu’ in a any state of cause, this rearmament is avoidable. I prefer qu’ it is done within the framework of l’ Atlantic Alliance rather qu’ apart from this cadr
