He is a top lad and was a good soldier. His corner has been sided by some quite highly placed military officers, I know that much!

His crime, if there was one is minor, yet we have illegals coming out of our ears who we seemingly can’t deport for every feeble excuse that corrupt lawyers can come up with.

We have known, convicted, foreign nationals who we can’t deport or keep in jail, but this lad who according to reports has certainly contributed can be heaved out on the flimsiest reason.

Leaving the Army is not a crime, whatever his reasons.

Maybe you should try reading the article yourself, then you’d realise it is the border agency that refused his application, not the MoD. You’d also see he admitted guilt, and then upon realising there were consequences decided he wanted to change his mind. As I said, the guy seems to want us to give him exceptions to all the rules.

Oh, and he left the services because the accomodation wasn’t good enough.

Let me try to explain; I’ll do my best, but some words will need more than one syllable. He was told that, in a fight, he’d broken a man’s jaw (note, no mention of a knife,) so, when accused, he admitted the charge. As it turns out, it was a lie, and nobody’s jaw was broken; witnesses, who said that he acted in self-defence, were ignored. The MOD know this, and have it in their power to reverse the original decision, and expunge the record, but they choose not to do so; this is why I stand by my original statement that the MOD have no interest in the men and women, who serve this country.

Isn’t this the guy that people asked for a petition to be signed for, and in the petition they waved the race card around and similar crap? Also I believe the reason for the denial of citizenship was as he had a military conviction for fighting, supposedly involving a knife?

Based on use of the race card I won’t be signing.

PPP. I have no idea if this is the same person whom you are refering to, I just read the story that the telegraph printed, looked at the petition and signed it.
In my opinion this chap is getting a raw deal when so many others can get a citizenship without putting in 13 years in the Army.

I also respect the decision of any person to sign or not sign.
But would like to remind people that we only have that choice, due to people who have served and those willing to in the forces.

p.s. 12400 signatures so far.

I suggest you try reading the article, before condemning the man; it seems he was falsely accused, and convicted out of hand. No surprise really, though; when did the MOD ever show the slightest concern for the men and women who fight for this country?
