I just stumbled across a norwegian picture archive and obviously I started to search for old pictures of aeroplanes…:rolleyes:
A picture that puzzled me a bit was this:

Apperantly it shows Comper Swift G-ABUU at Kjeller airfield in the 1930’s.
Anyone know who visited Kjeller with such a rare aircraft at the time?
Location is certain, as I walk past the building in the background on my way to work every day..

Constance was the first female navigator in the north east, born 1903 and died 1993.

Constance Leathart’s name sounds familiar for some reason. Was she not a member of the ATA during WWII?

A J Jacksons book lists the following 1930s owners for ‘BU:
13/4/1932 Mark A Lacayo, Barton
4/1933 E C T Edwards
5/34 Miss Constance R Leathart, Cramlington (owner until 1942)
So I guess it should be one of the above.
