The Vickers works drawing for painting ‘Identification Markings Eire Trainer’ shows the spinner in the same colour as the ‘External finish’ and that is ‘Grey Green’.
Compared with the other spinners on site the HFL guys called it orange, but clearly it is not the same ‘orange’ as the national marking Celtic Boss.
Perhaps ‘orangey red’. 🙂

Looks red to me, especially compared to the wing flash. Apologies for the picture quality, but the air test was conducted outside of the airfield to the north and the very large lens still wasn’t large enough.

Not borrowed and I think the technical term is ‘Orange’.
