Hi all,
I need some computer help badly.
My Broadband modem keeps going ‘offline’ every couple of minutes, then spends about 30 seconds reconnecting itself, and then goes online for a couple more minutes.
It is a Motorola modem, and I am with Telewest Broadband.
Any help gratefully received :).

Ah, now appears it was a general Telewest problem, the digital TV we have was also doing the same, going off every few minutes.
Now fine, and back to normal.
Pliot – always been more than happy with Telewest, plus the fact we have a cable line rather than a BT line (Due to us living low down, was always hard to get a good picture on the TV with an aerial), rather restricts our options.
As I say, more than happy with Telewest :).
mines be good now aswell 🙂

LBA- that happens to me sometimes. When it does,it helps to close all programmes & re-start the computer. It usually works fine after that.
Long term, you would be better off with a different broadband provider.I use tiscali. It’s cheaper & doesn’t have many problems.

Probably just temporary problems, at a guess
