Latest News: British Airways says that they are planning to bring the Concord back. But this time with all the safety precatuions as possible. The aircrafts have been painted again, a rubber lining near the fuselage will prevent the pieces of a burst tire to enter the engine. In a meeting, it was said that Concorde will do trial flights in April and May and possibly start the trial flights in Feburary end. And if all goes well Concorde will resume its operations between New York and London. The pilots of the Concord are very confident of Concord as it has done very nicely for the past 25 years. An aviation expert says that everybody will look forward to see the Concord fly again but they still are waiting for an answer from some safety service. If all goes well Concord-the icon of Europe will start to be seen again in many of the worlds international airports.

RE: Concord planned to bring back into service
Unfortunately only two countries have done consistent SST research in flight over the past 20 years; the US and Russia. This time around the SST most likely to be successful will either be the Tu-244 or a US equivalent.

RE: Concord planned to bring back into service
Not only that, but also the planns for a newer, more ecological and cheaper to operate Concorde are going to materialize. These are fantastic news for the European technology and I am glad of it.
