Concorde or Spitfire?

Whatever you favour, get voting on the BBC Culture Show’s Great British Design Quest

Both are now in the top 10, so lets make sure both are in the top 3 for the final vote

Maybe a Mod will pin this?

Concorde or Spitfire?

MDF…. Hurricane.. I could not agree more!!..

But watching the Culture show on the beeb last night I didn’t know that Concorde had been built by the Bristol Company and Hawker Siddeley

Pehaps some one should tell them !

Personally, voted for the Routmaster Bus as it has affected far more people than Concorde (and was fully British) and the Hurricane deserves the credit always given to the Spitfire!

Don’t want to be picky.. But Concorde, was only tecnically around ‘50%’ British… The clue is in the namE…..

OK – If you include the engines it may be more…. But still not 100% British.. Unlike some of the other choices. Still it is a design classic.. But I voted Spitfire!

I’ll go for Concorde, first aircraft my nephews could recognise!

spitfire for me – can’t vote for an aircraft that we only finished due to threat of legal action from the French if we’d pulled out!

Maybe they used a shot of a tropical filter spit because of the ‘sand pit’ wars time we live in!

Because it was probably the only image some ‘researcher’ could be bothered to find, ‘Ah!, that photo is tagged Spitfire, I will use that’ 😀
