hi,
at 8pm tonight on Channel 5 (on UK televison) there is a programme about the Concorde. the programme will cover the aircrafts ‘magnificent technology’, its terrible economics, it history etc etc.
guess who is presenting it….Richard Branson….of course. i guess he is using it to ‘self promote’ why he should be allowed to have it (them). he ‘vents’ his frustration at not being allowed to buy the remaining fleet.
its starting very shortly, so find the control and switch to Channel 5.
thanks,
adam

Just seen it and thought it was a brilliant program – but it’s made me very sad at the prospect of October 24th. I only saw her for the first time this spring, and I never thought a plane would mean so much to me. God knows how I’ll react when F-15s and Harriers are retired! Such a shame.

It was not too bad, I kind of stumbled across it whilst channel-surfing the hundreds of rubbishy channels that Digital television has to offer.
It was very good, I must admit and told us everything about Concorde from the day the idea was first thought of.
Richard Branson was good at presenting and narrating the Concorde Story. Convenient how he was able tos how off the Virgin Atlantic First Class cabin, too!

Hi,
It was a fantastic program with some great archive footage of Concorde. Richard Branson presented it well, but like you said he did some “self” promoting. It will be intresting to hear some other people’s views of the programme.
