Hi All,
I took a trip to MAN today with fellow forum members Northern_Git and BT777. The weather to start with was… Well… Ridiculously hazy, then it cleared up quite nicely for most of the afternoon and ended in one of the most severe bursts of rain I’ve ever seen!
Anyway… On with some photos. All taken with a Canon 30D + EF-S 17-85 IS (Cheers Sam!) or Tamron 28-300 XR Di…

Nice shoot Paul! Like the last shot in the rain – TCX 330 head on is nice too.

What’s this rain that you talk about? Heald Green didn’t see any of it!
Funny you should say that! We had the scanner tuned to the ATIS and it said “runway WET WET WET”. The three of us looked at each other puzzled, as we were stood there in blazing sunshine. Minutes later we heard thunder and started to hear huge raindrops falling around us… Then we started to feel huge raindrops… Then it absolutely chucked it down and within less than a minute we were pretty damned wet! By the time we arrived at the car (which was parked a mere 5 or 6 minutes walk away) the rain had not only stopped but it became clear it hadn’t rained there at all. The floor was perfectly dry, despite the soaking we’d just had only a few hundred meters away.
Weird place, Manchester airport!
Thanks for your comments so far, guys!
Paul

Also, that US Airways 330 was frighteningly late. Better be on time when I’m flying out on it!
Oh, and the photos are absolutely fantastic, Paul. :p
