Happy New Year for Washan and the new baby, and hope Xmas was great!

Nah. But we were given a complete set of X-mas clothes and the little fella has no fewer than 3 different Santa-hats now :rolleyes: And we thought we spoiled our dog …

Wan: Did you do the whole “Photo with Santa”? Thing mate? I tell you, that’s where I should go, those guys make a mint selling the pics to families who think that other members want pics of their brats.

In truth- the whole pics with Santa each year are a great police scam! These coupled with the school photos through the mid year are the only way the police have of Identifying what a kid looks like if they run away- Think about it:eek:;)

And, first Christmas, of course! Belated congrats from me, Wanshan 🙂

From the baby front…

First times. For a sample, we’ve done
– first time in the stroller
– first time to the park
– first time to the beach
– first inocculations
– first puke on daddy

Day 10: Discovered a new use for the baby. Wonder if it will be as good a babe-magnet as the dog …. must keep awake!

Jonesy: Mate I can testify to how true your advice is, my daughters are 10 days short of a year apart. They grew up really close together but waiting would have been far better- I still love them and today they are almost adults as the eldest loves to rub in my face!

Don’t worry her time will come…………….She won’t feel that young when she is in her 60’s and your in your 80’s. Hey, I know several ex-WWII vets in there 80’s and even 90’s that get along very well.:D (i.e. drive, walk several miles a day, etc.)

As a matter of fact I had a close girl friend back in high school that always picked on me because I was two years older. That is until one day I said…….Honey I don’t think its going to matter much when I am 82 and your 80″ After that I never heard a word about age again.;)

Many congrats. An additional piece of advice to the general sagacity already on the thread….wait a good couple of years for the next one!. We didnt and have a little girl at 18mnths and another who’s just 4 months old today.

I’m now a believer in perpetual motion. I also know where the idea for the film The Matrix came from!.

Wan you are a killer mate! And Yes Sleep is for those less in stature 😉

SOC: mate I have three teenage kids (Boy 13 is actually the best of the bunch though he was trouble growing up what with ADHD and ODD. Two girls 17 and 16 who are at the age that they say “Dad, we’re almost adults- go to hell we can do it ourselves now”)!

Hey guys, thanks for the encouragements! Actually gave me a few ideas… I’ve decided this whole adventure should be fun, and am striving to enjoy it as much as possible. Much like his old man, bub arrived fashionably late, just as we were planning more serious measures. By now, everything seems to be kicking in as it should so I’m quite happy. As for sleep … isn’t that something for wusses 😀
