Connie – the dog, not the aircraft

Hi folks.

Unfortunately, Connie, my faithful companion, passed away a couple of days ago. Doesn’t sound much of a big deal. Unless, of course, you knew her. And a number of you did. She always seemed to bring the best out in everyone she met, and she met a lot of people, accompanying me on my travels far and wide. Trips included Brunters more than once to collect “stuff”, St Austel (to collect Mr Rusty), etc, etc and here at Caernarfon when the team dismantled and collected the Prince.

I accept this is a very tenuous link to historic aviation, but there may be a few of you who would want to hear.

Further details at the Caernarfon Forum, link below:

I never met her but being a dog lover my heart goes out to you.It is also very appropriate on an aviation forum, many good canines associated with flying and aircrew.
I bet she had a fantastic life and lots of attention.A dog could’nt ask for more.

Very sorry to hear that. I met her once quite a while back. A lovely animal. Is the excellent airport cafe going to be named after her, as is rumoured on another forum?
