Connie

Well Having just been up to Manston to see the Connie i can tell you she is still there parked on the pan by the passenger terminal! where folks you should be able to take some cool pics. Looking a bit bedrazzeld this morning as the south east weather is not at its best but looking fine anyway, one thing though she looks so tiny parked next to the big Russian ANTANOV and 747’S but still beats them for looks handsdown. Not sure how long the connie is at Manston for? but wish her well on her final part of the journey and hope to see her perform at airshows in the UK next year.

RE: Connie

Thanks for the info. I heard similar stories about The Dutch Connie’s future. At least it will be preserved. Apparently the Swiss Connie might set up to carry passengers. Any truth in this rumour? That would be a real treat!

RE: Connie

Sadly, she won’t be doing much flying after her arrival in Holland.A number of her parts are loaned from the people who own the MATS Connie back in Arizona, including the props and three of her engines. These items will be returned to the States and replaced by static parts.Seems a damn shame really, but we can console ourselves with the prospect of the Swiss owned SuperConnie doing the rounds in the years to come.

Hi,

Is the Dutch Connie to become part of the European Airshow circuit or will it become part of the static display at the Dutch Museum? It would be great to see it continue to fly for atleast few more years..she still kinda young
