There are some so-called “doctors” who are incapable of spelling common medical terms such as diarrhoea. I know that for a fact. Some so-called “doctors” do not even know how to take blood pressure.
However, there are genuinely great ones out there as well.

‘clinical excellence award’ more like ‘Blunder money’

Hi All,
Does this include those consultants that are kept on by the NHS despite causing more suffering by their mistakes like my wife’s consultant did ? not even a slap on his grubby hands for causing her to be in constant pain for her foreseeable life CRPS. These people get enough in wages let alone a performance based bonus.
Christ a lot of these so called consultants should have been sacked for the mistakes they have made, just the same as the everyday person would be in their own career, their mistakes are more costly and they should be held accountable but instead they are regularly swept under the carpet.
Absolutely disgusting no wonder the NHS is losing so much money if this is truly what these consultants can achieve these people must think they won the lottery every time they turn up for work, yet you always here some complain about how they work long hours well for that kind of money who wouldn’t do the hours ?
But you never hear them complain about the extra hours they put in at private practises do you or have I got it wrong ? Always willing to learn never to old in my opinion. 🙁
Geoff.
