Can anybody confirm what was arriving or departing Duxford this morning, circa 10.00 hours?
Late for a meeting and belting down with rain, I noted a low loader and a container on a truck fully blocking access to the car park area between hangers 4 & 5. There seemed to be a fuselage with a round engine in the container.
Just curious.

As I mentioned in a thread before this came up, Tom Friedkin’s F6F has been repainted in FAA colors, and Friedkin usually brings SOMETHING to the Duxford scene each July, does’nt he? COULD it be his Hellcat, replete with British markings, in time to be assembled and test flown and maybe even attend a few shows before the BIG DAYS in July at Legends?
If so….it would certainly be….AT LEGENDS….
