Can anybody tell me if Continental have started using B767’s yet, I know they did have some on order. Also, what variant are these machines? I’ve heard reports of -200’s and -400’s being used. Thanks.

RE: Continental Airlines B767
no V1. You are wrong.
there is no airplane called B767-400. The aircraft you are thinking of is the -400ER. And it has a shorter range than the earlier extended range models, namely the -200ER and 300ER. Boeing is also now offering the -200ER, -300 and -300ER with the new 777-style interior and flightdeck. Both Delta and Continental have just taken delivery of the B767-400ER..the upcoming -400ERX, however will have a range similiar to the
-300ER. Kenya Airways has ordered this model.
Any more questions anyone ?

RE: Continental Airlines B767
Boeing has already launched the 767-400, it has actually already flown. A demonstrator has been flying the air show circuit this year. As far as I know, the aircraft has a longer range than the earlier models, it also has a longer body and bigger wing. The interior has been heavily influenced by the 777 series, with more advanced avionics and the cabin has a sculptured ceiling similar to that of the 777. The -400 is to the B767 family what the B737-6/7/800 are to the B737/3/4/500. The Boeing website will probably have all the info you need. Thanks..

RE: Continental Airlines B767
as far as I know, boeing hasn`t launched the 767-400 yet.
The basic and so far only version available is the -400ER.
In three- four years the -400ERX will be available, which will
give -300ER range with -400ER capacity.

OOPS!
Sorry. But I did not know there is both -400 and 400ER. Is there big differences in range?

RE: Continental Airlines B767
what matilainen says about the 767-400 is wrong.
The two launch airlines for the -400ER are Delta, who has ordered 21, and Continental, who has a firm order for 26.
United has not (yet) placed an order for the 767-400.

RE: Continental Airlines B767
Go to www.continental.com/corporate and select the fleet and there is comlete listing of aircraft being used by Continental. The 767-400, I think it is not yet put into service. United will probably be the first to use the new model.
