Hello can anyone tell me if COntinental are going ahead with a Newcastle-Belfast-Newark flight? I was wondering because it would be really helpful.

RE: Continental-Newcastle to Newark
I have heard that the next UK destination for CO after STN will be Edinburgh which doesnt surprise me. However, dont rule out CO operating to NCL in the future with 757.

This is a great shame for Newcastle. This is one airport which would benefit a lot from a transatlantic link, and why the hell have CO chosen STN?? The latter airport has had transatlantic services axed more than once because of poor loads. AA to Chicago was a classic example.

Check out the Continental web page www.continental.com/tis which gives you a list of the new services the airline is to introduce.

Newcastle could do with a transatlantic link, and I reckon it should do well. Continental seem to looking at quite a few UK regional airports to fly from. Expect to see a flight from Newcastle operated by the B757.
