Almost a rarity with an airport announcing the cessation of a service!
BRS Website says November 7 is last day of the service. What will CO do with the “spare” 757 unless it’s planned for LHR ops?

I have to Be honest i didn’t think they would Last Past May 2006 Being a Year old.
But they Proved me wrong and Apparently Had a Successful 5 Year’s But i guess it’s Just another Bite to Recession And Like Cloud_9 Said Misery For us Western Folk who will Now have to trek Further to Get to the State’s.
But then again a Visit To LHR isnt all that Bad :p

Of course I hadnt forgot about BHX, but seeing as LHR has far more services it would be the obvious choice for people.
Depends if you want to use Continental or not I suppose :diablo:.
And the flight from BHX a few weeks ago was canx and so they had to bus everyone down to LHR, so not such a good option if you want to avoid the hassle.
Hardly a regular occurance or a good example to use for avoiding hassle ;).

Shame but not too surprising, the route doesn’t perform that well tbh, especially in comparison to the other regional routes.

I guess you’re clearly forgetting about Continental’s daily service to Newark from Birmingham? ;)…there’s an alternative to LHR not far up the road!! If you’d like to avoid the ‘hassle’ of LHR……

Bet that will be annoying for the locals as it now means they will have to travel along the M4 in order to get to LHR.

Who knows but this is just the thing BHX should be promoting right now, there’s an alternative to LHR not far up the road!! If you’d like to avoid the ‘hassle’ of LHR……

That’s such a shame…as CO are the only transatlantic link that BRS has.
I thought that BRS was one of their most popular regional routes to/from the UK?

I would suspect you are right that the 757 will probably be transferred over to LHR.

Only mentioned LHR as they’re starting a 5th daily service to EWR with a 757 around that time.

The aircraft could be redirected anywhere, including domestic ops.
