Continental to make "significant" first quarter loss

Wasn’t someone on hear telling me that COs finances were perfectly ok just a few weeks ago? They may be better than other US airlines but they certainly aint pretty either!

Larry Kellner is the new CEO after Gordon Bethune stepped down about a year ago. I believe Kellner was previously the COO for CO.

I have just finished studying about CO at university… we where studying the management schemes put in place when Gordon Bethune was CEO, amazing to know what he did to turn the airline around (read From Worst To First for more info!), so it is a shame to know that they are going to make a loss…

Is there a new CEO or is Gordon still at the helm?

Their revenue increased while their operational costs (at least labor) decreased thanks to pay concessions. I’m guessing that fuel prices are still killing them.
