I think one of the Spantax ones is ‘preserved’ at Palma.
Glad you put preserved in quotes – she’s in a terrible state 🙁
She’s supposed to be owned by the “Museo Del Aire” at Madrid – but they’ve obviously had a problem moving her to the mainland from Palma… so here she rots……

Spantax 990s were common visitors to Dublin in the 70s. Noisey and smokey – my kind of jet 🙂

I remember going to see the weekly Spantax 990 arrive at Exeter when I was a kid, seemed like the whole town had come to see the spectacle!! How times change! I think one of the Spantax ones is ‘preserved’ at Palma.
Ah well! there’s always the Eurolottery!!

Ain’t she a beauty? I looked at that and thought of John Travolta – and thought, you know, if I had more mil’s that necessary, I’d love a 60’s thing like that. Take my mates for a party somewhere – lah de dah.
Frankly though I know nothing of a Convair 990 ~ I bet it’d drain your bank balance faster than a Hummer.
