What is the coolest thing you’ve ever done??
Give it a rating out of ten.
Last year, my girlfriend and I dived with six, 400-pound sand tiger sharks in an aquarium. It’s quite unnerving seeing something so big swim within five or six feet of you – she even had one swimming over her head!!!
Rating: 9.5
(PS – flying in a warbird doesn’t count! ;))

“I have a Calcium Carbide lamp , if you piss on the powder the gas is produced instantaneously and ignites VERY easily”
Acetylene usually does. Wouldn’t catch me stick my knob near it.
Toilet bombing? Parking meters? I’m beginning to worry here…..mind you, could have a good weekend on the piss together!

Seconds!! – I have a Calcium Carbide lamp , if you piss on the powder the gas is produced instantaneously and ignites VERY easily . Sodium – thats the thing to have – lumps of metal stored in paraffin , lob a lump in a pond , it fizzles for a bit then WHOOOOMMPPPPHHHH , great fun .
Some types of Lithium batteries can be fun too – cut them in half with tin snips , flush both halfs down the toilet then guess how far along the drainpipe it will get before causing a mini explosion – usually with the contents of the pan being fired back at you – never do this in your own home – this is a bad thing .

I have:D 😀 I was going to mention that but I thought it may be a bit OTT !!! , while feeding ducks with lumps of bread throw in the occasional Resolve tablet , impressive – works well on pigeons too !!! ( but you have to break it into smaller bits )

Actually nor have I, but have often been tempted when I’ve been dived bombed by the sh!te hawks while out fishing or just on the beach enjoying an ice cream.

Hmm , mine border on a combination of Philos and Snappers things .
Ala Snapper – Seagull fishing – size 12 hook on a spool of 6lb line and loads of bread start throwing bread in the air , stick the hook in a bit – throw it up and voila – a seagull kite , lively fun for an hour .
Ala Philo – Mad Sunday at the IOM TT flat out on my first YZF750R , then wrecking assorted Puch mopeds same week .
Being present at both of my boys births .
Flying along the beach at North Berwick waving up at people on the dunes .
Too many other stupid things to list – starting a chainsaw in my lounge at 3 in the morning , tore through the wooden floor , hit the wall and embedded itself in the side of a new sofa . Fired a crossbow at a picture in the hall and it went clean through the drywall into the sitting room , shot TV with same crossbow . Ran myself over with one of my own tractors (twice) crawled below it to short out the solenoid as the starter was gubbed – tractor was in 1st low range – fired up and ran over my legs, many others ………………………

Goat fishing? Sounds great!
I used to like duck fishing. Now don’t berate me for being cruel, but what you do is use strong line, a large hook, and some bread. Float the bread and wait for the duck. Better than fishing because you have a far larger area for the duck to go (ie upwards) and they fight like hell. Plus you get a great meal afterwards. Great fun, great sport. Unless you’re a duck.
What strength line should I use for goats?

Ski down a red after four days of lessons and not die.
Fly a motor glider solo before I could drive a car.
Fly a solo cross country in to Oshkosh.
Fly round the statue of Christ at Rio in a helicopter at sunset.
Watch my son ride his bike without falling off for the first time.
Get drunk with the Sheffield Wednesday squad pre-season last summer. (Maybe that’s why they got relegated…?)

Er… I once nicked an entire parking meter when I was 14, with a a mate in Glasgow city centre. We wrapped it up in brown parcel paper and put stickers on it saying “handle with care” and “fragile”
Once we got it home and hacked it open it contained around £90 in 20p pieces. I bought new tyres for my bike and the man at Halfords jokingly asked my if I’d “nicked a parking meter ?”

Probably not what you’d like to hear but being present at, and assisting in an abdominal/perineal excision of rectum. A huge piece of surgery which revealed just how fascinating the internal workings of the human body are to me.
Assisting in the delivery of a baby (first class, I’ll say it before anyone else does).
Being there when an eight year old girl with profound and multiple learning disabilities took her first ever steps.
Realising that the old man in the corner of the ward was being uncooperative because, for want of a better phrase, medical experiments had been carried out on him in a concentration camp and he was having flashbacks.
In a Chipmunk at 14 when the pilot says “You have control.”
Thanks to the support and encouragement of a number of people, realising that the fact my legs are now bordering on useless doesn’t make any difference at all to who I am.
All pretty mundane really compared to some people’s experiences.
Regards,
